Valentine’s Day Blues

by Judy Klipin

The sight of Valentine’s Day paraphernalia in shops can be a little depressing.  The in-your-faceness of all that enforced romance is hard enough for people who have an ‘other half’ (be that half better, worse or indifferent). But for people who are not-so-happily unattached, all that stuff is disheartening. But for people who are not-so- red and pink, the hearts and flowers, the chocolates and cherubs… they all serve to draw attention to the singleness of their singletons.

There are a couple of options in the face of the onslaught; embrace it or ignore it.  Have a singles-only Valentine’s Party (two friends of mine got together at one of those), buy yourself all the flowers and chocolates your heart desire, go for a massage.  Sign up for a hike, go to an action movie, take yourself on holiday to a remote destination with no shops, TV or internet….

Whatever you do, please do it kindly and compassionately.  Please don’t berate yourself for not being in a relationship. Please don’t feel that you are unworthy or believe that you will always be alone and lonely.  Please don’t give up on love, or on yourself.

There’s another option.

Sign up to do my 4-week “Find Yourself in Love” coaching programme.  It is a one-on-one programme so you will have my undivided attention and you won’t have to share your hopes and fears with anyone but me (and yourself).

Over the four weeks you’ll learn all about relationships in general and yourself in relationships in particular.  You’ll find yourself in love.

I can’t guarantee that next Valentine’s Day you’ll be happy to see all the pink and red but I do assure you that completing this programme will help you to understand how you are in relationships, and to make happier, healthier and more satisfying relationship choices in the future.

It is a one-on-one programme so space is limited.  Book your slot now.

Whatever you choose to do – do it with love for yourself.  And maybe buy yourself some chocolates….
